How to determine Tanfoglio / EAA Witness frame size?
You have a Tanfoglio / EAA Witness pistol and want to buy new grips, magazine, mag-pads, or just want to know what frame size you have?

Tanfoglio indeed created quite a confusion by using two different frame sizes for their pistols and not marking that anywhere. Frame size determines grip sizes, magazine sizes, magazine pads dimensions, mag well dimensions, firing pin length, slide dimensions, … If you have one of .38 Super, .45 ACP and 10 mm models, you’re in luck, because all these are considered large frame pistols.

So we made a simple and reliable way of finding your frame size.

First, check if front end of chamber part of the barrel is visible?

If yes, you have a large frame.

If you can’t see the edge, you have a small frame.

Second, measure width of the magazine.

If you have a large frame, magazine width is 21,40 mm (0,843″). Allow for minor difference.

If you have a small frame, magazine width is 20,16 mm (0,794″). Allow for minor difference.
